The timed entry system is BS. If you have a pass you should be allowed to enter, but now you have to pay for a reservation in addition to paying an entrance fee or buying a yearly pass. They say it’s because there isn’t enough parking, but you also have to have a reservation to enter on foot. They have rangers stationed at trailheads to check reservations that previously never required a pass and rarely had a ranger presence. We, as citizens, own the park. Our taxes pay for the rangers and facilities, yet we still required to buy a pass to use it. Now they’re using timed entry and capacity counts to limit our use of our park. Ask yourself why they want to keep us out.
