Regulation is gay but for fucks sake, urban planning is bad enough. This is how you end up with a two lane road that should be four lane. It's fine right now, adding that housing. The housing attracts businesses, which attracts more people, and so on, until you're in traffic for an hour daily because some cunt said having a two car driveway was bad for the environment and we paved paradise away.
Of course, the real reason is they want everyone on public transport and eliminating parking is one more tool in the belt to make that happen.
