Bills like this are just a campaign contribution funnel. - make Bill to screw an industry - industry respond with lobby and contribution efforts - Bill gets put away or defeated - legislature finds new segment of citizens to "serve"

Let’s hope so, I am opposed to any increase in taxes. Governments are so inefficient that 90% of our taxes are wasted, and 95% of what our taxes support are ridiculous and damaging to a strong society.

Has anyone ever attempted to find what the maximum tax people are willing to pay is?

I’m sure this is one of those tests. The Overton window shift will take us to 100%, as that is the goal. Live in your pod and eat the bugs, this is one small step toward total takeover.

When you think about it, slavery is living under a 100% tax rate. Your owner claims the product of all your labour and gives you only what he decides you need to survive. Slavery is communism taken to its extreme.
