Just after 8 p.m. on Thursday, Commerce City Police Department patrol officers were called to a home in the 7000 block of Garden Lane after dispatchers received a call from a 22-year-old man who said he was armed with a knife and threatened to kill his family. The home is next to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. When officers arrived at the home, they said they attempted to de-escalate the situation with the man, but he proved uncooperative."
