Denver has declared itself a sanctuary city.. However, basically not a single one of the metro cities around it (including Aurora) have and some have specifically stated that they will NOT be a sanctuary city. Unlike Denver, Aurora is saying they will not cut services for citizens to pay for illegal aliens in their communities. Denver has already cut $5 million in services for parks, community centers, road repairs...etc. to pay for criminal illegal aliens.

From the post:
"The city of Aurora will take on the topic of the influx of migrants within city limits during a city council meeting on Monday night.
This is an issue that many cities have discussed in recent weeks in light of the crisis, including in Denver and Lakewood.
Aurora proposed a resolution where the city would not accept migrants without the funding to help them. Council members also discussed the transportation of migrants, as well as those experiencing homelessness, coming into Aurora from other cities. "
**A big piece of language is about funding.
The resolution says, “The City Council will not allocate public funds, services, or staff resources for migrant support.” **
