This is because a bunch of fucking morons were convinced to get rid of a law/act that kept this from happening. Then they claim that Prop HH would have stopped this from happening. Prop HH would have done JACK SHIT other than allowing the state to take your TABOR refunds (they are forced to pay you back when you are over-taxed, they wanted to use Prop HH to keep that money giving you ~$250 out of $750 you would have gotten while only 'easing' taxes by ~$200). They even wave it infront of your face because most people are fucking stupid. If you had a 2 adult household you would get $750/each PER YEAR ($1,500 each year). They would have "saved you" $1,200 OVER 3 FUCKING YEARS... Yeah, the math does not add up.
Voters in November did not support the tax relief measure, which was estimated to save the average homeowner $1,200 in the next three years.
