I am so unsurprised that the locals around the area are pissed about this. Also, they wont say it but here is the "trick" they are playing. 1. Shorten the time illegals can use the shelter system. 2. Shutdown one of the hotels being used to house the illegals (happened this week). 3. The illegals are now "homeless" and also many are refusing to leave the area. 4. Now they are considered "homeless" not illegals and can now be put into the 'new' permanent homeless shelter.

How this should work is.. 1. Deport every illegal at first contact. 2. Add them to a country wide ban list. 3. Get the homeless into drug rehab programs (by force if needed). 4. Stop spending all of this money on people that are not citizens and help our citizens and vet's.

From the post: "DENVER — The Denver Housing Authority hopes a 194-unit hotel in the Central Park neighborhood will become the city’s next permanent homeless shelter, but it will need to be rezoned for that to happen.

On Saturday, District 8 neighbors met with Denver Mayor Mike Johnston and District 8 Councilwoman Shontel Lewis to discuss the future of the Best Western Hotel on Quebec Street."
