Good luck to this guy and his wife. Whatever criminal fuck-up they managed to get their property back from is going to target them from here on out and might even try to kill them. Going to have to invoke on this one since there is no description of the thief and attacker.

Oh, and get this. When the cops showed up they took the stolen bike BACK TO THE THIEF because the owner did not have proper documentation to prove ownership at the time. Ok... So did they just show that in the Denver Metro it is legal to protect your property with lethal force?

From the post: "A Denver man had all but given up on his stolen bike until he spotted it Sunday afternoon. But when he tried to get it back, the situation quickly became violent. “I was coming back from the pharmacy, just driving by, and I saw it chained up out in front of a house and it’s been missing for a number of days,” said Shane Green."

"But then, Green says said the suspect went into the house and came out with a bat.

“He was swinging that around. He then picked up the five-foot tow chain that he had the bike chained up with and he began swinging that aggressively,” Green said. “If that had hit me or my wife in the head, it would have killed either one of us. The people who live next to him are yelling at him at the same time, saying, ‘You’re not in trouble yet. Just give the bike back. Don’t do anything to get yourself in jail.’”"
