The state is trying to reintroduce wolves, at great expense when they naturally migrated from Wyoming. Part of the legislation is that ranchers cannot deter, haze, or kill them. Ranchers are upset because they can’t do anything to legally protect their herd or flock. An emergency order was issued last week, they are now permitted to use dogs or other animals to deter the wolves, but that is temporary and ineffectual. The ranchers are going to have to find a way to continue ranching when the state is trying to put them out of business. Beef is one of the best proteins for humans, but it’s being demonized. Cow farts cause climate change, eat bugs to save the earth.
