It seems like the only reason they have for reintroducing the wolves to the area is that the wolves used to be there. The reasons for not bringing them back are all practical economic and safety concerns. They probably couldn't bring in more brown people so they went for the next dangerous animal.
They don’t need to reintroduce species that naturally inhabit adjoining or nearby states. If the environment is right, the animals will fill the space. This happened with moose. Moose walked into Colorado from Wyoming in the 70s. Now we have tons of moose.
Its stupid. Why not give out extra hunting tags to hunters? Wolves are dangerous.
Wolves are super good for the environment because they force the deer to change their behavior.
One of the great things about wolves is they indirectly boost numbers of other animals because they stop overgrazing. IIRC fish stocks are the first to recover when wolves are Introduced.
I'm gonna have to disagree. Wolves are not good for most areas. The only place I would agree to put them would be where the wild boar problems are down south.
They can cause problems. Around here they decimated the big-horn sheep population after being reintroduced.
But they are also good in a way. Ranchers won't be happy though.
Waiting for humans to cull prey animals at a rate that nature needs has been a disaster especially in areas where they cultivate corn and soy.
