I’d prefer people get out into nature, it’s healthy, and we’re the owners and keepers of public lands. Some people are assholes, like the ones taking mine timber because they weren’t prepared and didn’t bring firewood, but if a herd of elk tramples the lichen no one cares. But if people walking does, it’s suddenly “ruining the environment.”
