I hate bare concrete walls on monolithic buildings with tiny window slits that look as through they were designed to fend off a barbarian siege. I hate rectangular glass skyscrapers with no curves or breaks. They are bird killers, just as much as wind turbines. I hate buildings that have windows that don't open. I hate buildings that try to intimidate the human beings who enter them. You know the kind I mean, those government buildings that are designed to make you feel small and unimportant. I hate buildings with exposed pipes, electrical conduits, air conditioning ducts, wires. I hate buildings that don't use any wood. Wood is a human material -- concrete and steel are not. I hate buildings that show off, like the twisting skyscraper, or that giant lipstick in London. I hate buildings that are all glass. I don't want to live in a fishbowl. Pretty much every major building designed after 1940 is crap.
