What's going on? Seriously, I need Poal to tell me, because I'm not going to waste my time watching circus and balls.
Apparently they are interrupting games to water the pitch and tell players to drink.
I've never seen this before in Europe, especially in summer time when the temps are as high as they are in the U.S.
The current temperature for the Belgium vs. Egypt match in Seattle is 84°F (29°C).
I'm pretty sure they do that to reinforce the climate change narrative into people's mind (the entire world is watching), so they will all think "OMG it's so hot, they have to stop the game to water the pitch...., climate change is real!"
I think this was really a bath strategy....think of the stench of all those shitskins.
kek It probably stinks like a warm turtle tank.
I would assume that this is a synthetic pitch. They water the pitch to keep the temperature of the synthetic grass down (synthetic grass can heat up quite a lot in direct sunlight) and improve the performance of the pitch. It also reduces the likelihood of friction burns when you slide over the surface.
If it were real grass, it would be cool under foot even when much warmer than 29°C.
According to FIFA:
FIFA mandates natural grass for all World Cup matches.
To prepare, all host stadiums with artificial turf (such as MetLife Stadium, Gillette Stadium, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and SoFi Stadium) had their synthetic turf replaced with temporary natural grass or hybrid grass pitches.
Hybrid pitches are made of living natural grass with synthetic fibers stitched or mixed in for extra durability. The temporary fields are grown off-site, transported in, and laid over specially designed sand and drainage systems
Thanks for filling me in, it's all so retarded and gay.
