It works when properly scaled for each house, but you’ll have to spend money on upgrading/replacing batteries over the years, adding that the jews don’t want you to go off-grid.

My buddy went all in, 70k on tesla wall, as much capacity as his roof could handle. 2 years into it, the power company changed how much he gets charged back, and basically, they charge for a delivery fee both ways, etc , etc, etc . Long story short, he will probably break even around 2038 when the panels are at the end of their life. Ymmv

I have panels, I did it myself, get the largest panels from a wholesaler and i was able to significantly break even sooner.

My northern Mexico place is completely off grid, it's way cheaper to buy stuff down there.

Solar energy doesn’t really make sense in northern areas with lower than 100 sunny days per year.

I should say, you spend 20k now to save 15k later.
