Why stop there at the energy source? Remove those tires. Toxic to make, toxic to depose of, and deposits rubber dust everywhere and on everything.
I’d invest more stock in uber if this were true
I agree with this 100%.
Honestly I love the concept of 'green' energy. Why not be as kind to our environment as we reasonably can?
To that end I'd love to see more development on the nuclear front.
And yes. "Green" vehicles should ONLY get power from "green" sources.
How can we make this a real thing?
Still a stupid idea. If I had an electric car, and I'm paying for electricity made from beautiful clean coal, then I'll charge my damn car with it.
That said, I'm not going to buy an electric car anyway.
Also stop using all products made from oil and turn off your natural gas heat source.
Why are there so many statist morons in here, "hurr durr, if you're already polluting, the government should make you pollute more."
Well, I'm not a statist, nor am I a moron. Also, the point of it is if you're claiming to be green then be green. I'm not sure where you got "...if you're already polluting, the government should make you pollute more." out of that.
You're a statist if you think the government should be in anybody's business, including monitoring what source of power they are using.
You're a moron for assuming that everyone driving electric cars is doing it to "claim they're green." I do it because the total lifetime operating cost is less than half of that for a gasoline car. I have saved over $25,000 in the last 11 years. I would still do it if it was worse than gas for pollution.
Now you're just making shit up. TCO on almost every single electric car is WAY over that of an ICE driven car. In fact, at todays cost of electricity, it even costs more per mile to drive them.
BTW, it's a fucking meme, I'm not married to it, I thought it was funny. Sorry to get your panties all in a bunch.
Why stop there?
That new electric car contains 100+ pounds of plastics and other petroleum based products.
Those solar panels, yep plastics.
The wind turbines have TONS of plastics and barrels of petroleum lubrication oil.
Not to mention all of the oil based products used in the manufacture of those cars, solar panels, and turbines.
Green anything is a fucking joke in modern society. Almost everything you use to do anything either has some petroleum based product in it or had a petroleum based product used during manufacture, packaging, and/or transport.
And you didn't even get to the part of the real raping of the earth, cobalt and lithium mines. Holy shit, have you seen those? And how about that child slave labor?
Yea, green is a joke.
