For context, I disagree with the Catholic church and I am not Catholic myself. But up until recently, I simply considered it a matter of difference, similar to a church who firmly believes that water baptism is needed for salvation, as opposed to another who simply see it as an outward expression of your conversion and faith. But with the pope's recent changes to fundamental church doctrine lately, I have to ask: Why and How can you still follow a church that is betraying the teachings of Jesus Christ himself? I understand one of the cornerstones of Catholic faith is faith in the church, so much as doctrine spoken by the pope is considered on par with scripture itself. But how can you continue to condone the actions of a MAN (Yes, the pope is human at the end of the day) who speaks "law" which directly contradicts Christ's teachings? Does this not bother you or cause a moment's pause to think "Maybe this isn't the correct church?"

Is Jesus Lord?

[–] 1 pt

I have always been a little unclear on that definition. Jesus is the only begotten son of God, but lord has so many definitions that even at 5 years old I was confused on that statement, Jesus is lord. Isn't God our lord? Isn't lord the property owner? I just don't know. In spite of my NPC badge i question everything and do not follow things blindly. Jesus' teachings are things I believe in however, so even if somehow it was proven it was all made up, I'd still believe ... however I believe it is true. If Jesus is lord statement is do you follow Jesus' teachings, then yes.yes I do, and yes he is.

So, like many things in life, I do not know. I do know that I reject everything I have ever heard about the Talmud, as I never read the fucking thing myself and don't care to involve myself in that shit. I'm not reading Nick and Charley (the homo erotic junior high novel) either for the same reason. Trash doesn't deserve to be read, acknowledged or promoted.

I'd suggest you re-read the Gospels and Acts then, if you have ever read them before. Jesus being Lord is the admission that he is God. He is the leader and consultant that all men should follow, by his example, and the works he performed to show his divinity
