>The Crucifixion 16Then he handed Him over to them to be crucified. 17So they took Jesus, and He went out, [h]bearing His own cross, to the place called [i]the Place of the Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha. 18There they crucified Him, and with Him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. 19Pilate also wrote an inscription [on a placard] and put it on the cross. And it was written: “JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.” 20And many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek. 21Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews’; but, ‘He said, “I am King of the Jews.”’” 22Pilate replied, “What I have written I have written [and it remains written].”

>16Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. 17And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 18Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. 19And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 21Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. 22Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

>16Then he delivered him to them that they would crucify him, and they led Yeshua and brought him out. 17Then he took up his cross to the place called Qaraqpatha, but in Judean Aramaic it is called Gagultha, 18Where they crucified him and two others with him, one on one side and one on the other side, and Yeshua in the center. 19And Pilate wrote a title and placed it on his cross, but it was written thus: “This is Yeshua the Nazarene, The King of the Judeans.” 20And many of the Judeans read this tablet, because the place in which Yeshua was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic and in Greek and in Latin. 21And the Chief Priests said to Pilate, “Do not write, 'He is The King of the Judeans', but, “He said, 'I am The King of the Judeans.'” 22Pilate said, “What I have written, I have written.”
