This law is about maintaining a clear distinction between men and women -- their roles in society, their behaviors, their activities, their appearance. It was recognized in ancient times that when men start to act like women, and woman start to act like men, society falls apart. Distinctions between the sexes must be maintained for our very survival. And this is why homosexuality is destructive and must always be suppressed.
Not the only reasons. God commands us to be fruitful. Being childless is therefor Satan worship.
Homosexuality is strongly correlated with past abuses and therefor we must be asking people if they need help not endorsing their shattered responsive world view
Finally homosexuality is rampant with rape. Self harm and suicide. We don't tell alcoholics that their actions are OK. Or encourage drink driving and other known side effects
