Logically? Rhetorically? Morally?

Does this describe you?

People who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth... their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened. (chapter 1)

Not righteous. Without understanding. Not seeking God, but have turned away and become worthless. Don't do what is good. Throat is an open grave (etc.) No fear of God (chapter 3)

What should we say then? Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply? Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it? (6:1-2)

Do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its desires. (6:12)

What then? Should we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? Absolutely not! (6:15 ... you see, this is where I start to question if you've read Romans)

I could go on, but you are a waste of time. I do appreciate the chance to review these crucial passages though.

But if I ask for forgiveness, i shall receive it, that's the promise. And no sin is beyond absolution, right? That's a promise too. So putting the two promises together means that however bad the stuff I do is, if I seek salvation, I will receive it. The deal is just too good to not take optimal advantage of. Its a free license to do as I please. So long as I have time to repent before I die, that is.

If you were truly born again, then you wouldn't want to sin as much as possible. Did you read what Paul wrote (and I copied)?

Why do you call me Lord but don't do what I say?

You're in a scary place.

Im not talking about sinning up a storm. I'm talking about doing what I want. They are very different things. I don't want to go around killing, stealing, raping, etc.

Most of the time I don't want want to do much of anything at all. Maybe play video games, or eat junk food, or argue about religion on the internet (thanks btw). I don't do bad things just because I will face some sort of punishment for it, I mostly have no desire to do bad things in the first place. Though I will admit, there are some things that the law or other consequences are holding me back from, but those are less things I want to do, and more more I think need to be done, because they should be done, and I'm the one I trust most with doing it.
