6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)

This is saying that we should not be anxious about anything, but we should give our cares to the Lord by prayer and supplication. Notice that it says we should do this with thanksgiving, and that is so very important, as being thankful to God for His goodness is showing that we appreciate all He does for us, and it blesses God for His children to be thankful to Him. We need to be full of praise and thanksgiving when we pray to the Lord (Psalms 100:4) and most Christians are not very good at showing how much we appreciate all God does for us.

This verse is saying that the peace of God is beyond our ability to understand with our limited brains, as it is a peace that can only come from God, and is beyond anything that we can imagine. When you truly understand the love of God, and get full of His love, then the peace and joy that comes upon you, is something that can not be compared with anything else in this world. It is a peace and contentment that makes everything else in the world become unimportant, as all that matters is pleasing God, and knowing that His love will carry you through everything that the devil (John 10:10) and this world can throw at you. It is truly beyond explanation. If you have been born again, you have God’s love and peace in your new spirit, as it is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Thank you Lord for giving us your love to share with others.
