5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. - 1 John 3:5-6 (KJV)

When we are born again, the very Spirit of Jesus comes into us, crying Abba, Father (Galatians 4:6), and we become one with Him. Our new Spirit is then sealed (Ephesians 1:13), so that it can not ever be corrupted with sin, when we do sin, as we all do (1 John 1:8). Our born again spirit then can not ever sin, or lead us to sin, as Jesus was sinless, and since it is sealed, it is protected when we do sin in the flesh.

This verse is saying that if we are abiding in Jesus, otherwise walking after the Spirit, and not the flesh, there is no condemnation, and we will not sin (Romans 8:1). This is speaking of the Spirit, as if we are walking after the Spirit, and still sin then we were never born again, as the Spirit of Jesus can not sin. John says that we all sin (1 John 1:8), but that the born again Spirit of Jesus can not sin, so if we die to ourselves, and let the Spirit of Jesus live through us, then we will not sin. As humans, we find this hard to do, but never the less, when we do sin, we need to realize that we have been in the flesh, and have not let the Spirit of Jesus lead us, or we would not want to sin. If you live in sin all the time, then it is doubtful that you were ever truly born again. Some teach that we can reach perfection (sanctification) in this life, and never sin, but the bible teaches that no one can do that, and Jesus was the only one that ever lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22). Praise God that Jesus did it for us, as we can not live a sinless life ourselves.
