27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. - 1 John 2:27 (KJV)

This verse is saying that all born again Christians have the Holy Ghost (Comforter) living in them (John 14:16), so that each Christian can learn from Him, and not have to be taught by anyone else. The Holy Ghost is the best teacher that could be, as He wrote the bible through the prophets, so as the author, He knows it better than anyone else. And since the Holy Ghost, and the Father, and Jesus, are all one with each other, that means that God lives in the believer and can teach us. The Holy Ghost was sent to give us the power of God, and bring all things to our remembrance, and He does (John 14:26).

When you are a born again believer, and have the anointing of the Holy Ghost, it makes the bible come alive when you read it. If you are having a hard time understanding the bible, then you need to be sure you are really born again, and if so, that you have the Holy Ghost in you. If you were baptized as Jesus commanded, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19), then you received the Holy Ghost at that time. If you were not baptized in that manner, then you need to ask the Lord for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, and receive it so you can understand God’s Word. This is not a water baptism, but a Spiritual one, and if you are born again, God will give the Holy Ghost to help you, when you ask Him to (Luke 11:13). Thank you Lord for the Holy Ghost, as without His help we would not understand the Word of God.
