I was expecting him to say something re: he is God. But nevertheless he is sitting on a white throne surrounded by cherubim. Could this be related to the abomination of desolation? Pope not defending the faith and blasphemies (ie "you don't have to believe in Jesus to get into heaven") = abomination, causing Catholics to abandon the church, making it desolate.
