26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. - Romans 11:26-28 (KJV)

God made many Old Testament prophecies about the nation of Israel and you can be sure they will all come to pass. This verse has been taught that all the Jews will be saved in the end times, but that is not what Paul is saying. It also is not saying that they all will come to believe in Jesus as their Savior, as that is not what is shown in Revelations. What Paul is saying, is that a remnant of all the Tribes of Israel will be saved, as Paul had just been talking about God always saving a remnant of the Jews (Romans 11:2-5) by election. This Deliverer, I believe, is the Angel that goes down to the earth (Revelations 7:2-8), and puts the seal of God on 144,000 Jews, and it shows that there were 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel that God saves by election. This fulfills the promises that God has made to the nation of Israel, to not ever let any of the tribes be totally extinguished.

I had never been able to understand this verse before, and so I asked God about it as I was studying the book of Romans, and the Holy Spirit gave me the above information. Once you realize that Israel is referring to the tribes and not the Jewish people individually, then it makes it understandable, and what Paul is saying is that all the tribes of Israel will have a remnant saved, as God has promised. I believe this is what this verse is saying, and praise God for the Holy Spirit to help us understand His Word.

To say that an entire people would be saved, regardless of their actions would be a blasphemy. It would deny the entirety of all the moral laws.

Unless the definition of that tribe was ‘those that are saved’.

Right - Thanks for the comment and for reading God's Word. Love, Pastor Joe.
