3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. - Romans 12:3 (KJV)
We all, who are born again, need to realize that all we have has been given us by the grace of God, and not something we have earned. We should all keep from thinking too highly of ourselves, and become proud of what God has done for us to the point that it goes to our heads. If we are to truly represent Jesus, then we need to be humble and meek as He is (Matthew 11:29), and be full of God’s kind of AGAPE love, which is being full of God, as God is love (1 John 4:8). This world is far from God, as it promotes, and glorifies being proud and arrogant, which is opposite what the bible teaches. What they don’t realize is that pride and a haughty spirit goes before a fall (Proverbs 16:18).
Notice that God “hath” dealt to all those who have been born again, the measure of faith, not “a” measure of faith, but “the” measure of faith. This means that Christians already have been given the same measure of faith that Jesus has, and that Peter and all the disciples had (2 Peter 1:1). How many times do we hear Christians say that they need more faith, but faith is in the fruit of the Spirit that we already have (Galatians 5:22-23), and it is the same amount of faith that Jesus has. You don’t need more faith, but you need to use what you have, and limit the amount of unbelief that you have in your heart (Matthew 17:20), so you can do the works that Jesus did, and told us to do (John 14:12). Praise God for giving us the fruit of the Spirit.
