44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. - John 12:44-46 (KJV)

Jesus and God are one – and Jesus made this clear in Scripture several times (John 10:30, 17:22). Those that teach that Jesus was not “God in the flesh” are teaching in error, as Jesus was God come to earth (Matthew 1:23).

Scriptures make it clear that those that saw Jesus, saw the Father (John 14:7-9), and Jesus was described as being the express image of the Father (Hebrews 1:3). You have to disbelieve the bible to not believe that Jesus was God in the flesh. Jesus was not just a prophet or good person, and certainly was not an angel or such, but was truly God, and was the one who created this world and everything in it, including us (John 1:3). Jesus was the Word (John 1:14), and the Word was God (John 1:1).

The bible teaches that God is light, and evil is darkness, and that is why we are told to walk in the light (John 12:35). If you walk in the dark you will stumble and fall, but if you walk in the light, you will be able to stay on the narrow path that leads to heaven (Matthew 7:14). Thank you Lord for lighting the way of us who have been born again, and accepted Jesus as our Savior. Praise God for giving us His light – that we might see where we are going.
