**Daily Devotional** **April 30** *129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.* *130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. - Psalms 119:129-130 (KJV)* The Word of God is wonderful, and if you are born again and have the Holy Ghost living in you, then the bible comes alive when you read it, and you will realize just how wonderful it really is. The unsaved person can not understand the bible, as it is foolish to them (1 Corinthians 2:14), for it is spiritually discerned, and does not make sense to anyone who does not have the Holy Ghost to help them understand it. Be sure you have not only been born again, and received the Spirit of Jesus (Galatians 4:6), but that you also have received the Holy Ghost, who will give you understanding of the things of God. The Word of God gives light, as He is light (John 8:12), and Jesus was the Word (John 1:14). The bible tells us over and over that Jesus was God in the flesh, and how some try to say that Jesus was not God is amazing. The whole Christian Faith is based on the fact that Jesus was born of a virgin, by the very seed of God, remained sinless, and died for our sins. Then He was raised again from the grave, and lives now seated at the right hand of God. We are the only religion that has a founder who is alive in heaven. He conquered death, defeated the devil, and makes intercession for His saints in heaven (1 Timothy 2:5) – Praise God. Thank God that He gives understanding to the simple, as I qualify.
