32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. - 1 Cor 14:32-33 (KJV)
The spirits of the prophets being subject to the prophets is telling us that the person with the gift controls the spiritual gift that we, who are born again and have the Holy Ghost, have been given. If a person can not control their speaking or actions concerning a gift, then it is not of God, and needs to be cast out of the person. Some have claimed the Holy Spirit just grabs hold of them, and they can not control it, but that is not so. One of the wonderful traits of God is that He is a complete gentleman, and never forces His children to speak or act inappropriately. When God created man, He gave us a free will (Deuteronomy 30:19), and will not violate it by forcing His will upon us.
If God is not the author of confusion, then Satan must be the author of it. Any time you see confusion in a church service, you can bet that the devil is behind it, as he only comes to cause us harm (John 10:10). God is a person of complete order, as shown by all His creation. The world and heavens, as well as all of creation, testify as to the orderly nature of God, as they are created in complete order with each other. All services in the church should be orderly and everyone in complete harmony with one another (1 Corinthians 14:40). It only takes a very few to cause disorder in a service, and a Christian should never act ungodly, remembering that God is love (1 John 4:8), and we should all show complete love and respect for each other. Praise God for being such a gentleman. Thank you Jesus for bringing us back into fellowship with the Father (John 17:3).
