I need them obviously, but the god doesn't need to do any of those in order to exist. And if it's "likeness", paint me a picture of god that you are referring to without all the "ungodly" features.
You do realize there is a physical and a spiritual, right? An image and likeness to God is someone who keeps his commandments and doesn’t allow the desires of the flesh to control the man. The body is subservient to the spirit.
That's cool and all, but you want to explain to me why you lied and how that violated your precious ten commandments?
We take an anthropomorphic position because he said we were formed in his image and likeness.
"Anthropomorphic", for your record, can only be described as a likeness to a physical form.
Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities. In no way is it limited to physical form. Keeping his commandments is not limited to the physical form either, nor did I violate them.
