I've read too many christian using scriptures to justify inaction, and condemn those who took action, while at the same time, they enjoy the everyday fruits of peace and civilization obtained by those who took action, against evil
Now you're twisting what I said. I never said to not take action. I stated Jesus didn't promote violence. We can take action without the means of violence. Any chance you might answer my question?

>A gunman who opened fire in a church in Texas, fatally shooting two people before being killed by an armed member of the congregation, has been named.
>In 2017, 26 people were killed when a gunman opened fire at a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, during a Sunday service.
"Violence begets violence", indeed...
You're unprepared to face violent evil doers, and you're unprepared precisely because like too many christian, you have done nothing to get prepared. Worse, your only concern is to find excuses in the scriptures to justify your inaction when it comes to preparedness.
>I stated Jesus didn't promote violence.
Sometimes you have no choice, and it's precisely the worst case scenario. And it's too late to prepare once you or your loved ones are facing it. Luke 22:36
You, my friend, do not understand the love of God. You are good at using scripture to serve your own purposes, but lack wisdom and understanding. I'll be praying the Holy Spirit helps you in this manner.
