I live in one of the most ultra liberal parts of the united states. I've spent a year trying to find a church to attend but they've all not only drunk the woke Kool Aid, but swim in it. Even the "conservative" baptist branches here preach using transgender Pronouns and sending our tithing to migrant organizations in the name of "caring and loving diversity in Christ".

What should I do?

I watch online sermons on YouTube, but even they urge viewers to become active in a local church. How can I attend a church that rebels against basic biblical doctrine? Should I just give up looking and keep watching online sermons?

Form your own group, gather to read the bible and discuss. Go from there.

Abandon the Religion, keep the Faith.

a church up here in the northeast had a group of parishioners who were forced to watch mass remotely from the church basement because they refused masks. eventually the church told this group to stop going to church altogether. now the group has their own support group “church” meeting at each others houses on sundays. i’m not a religious person, but i’m thinking about joining this group.

Yes, my town is like this too.

You won't like what my answer is, but I'll say it anyway: religious organizations are a business. Their main product is guilt absolution. Note that Catholicism sold guilt absolution as indulgences. You literally paid money for your sins.

Since churches are a business, they cater to the demands of the local populations. The product and clientele they offer is not what you're looking for.

You would feel much more satisfied by forming an ad hock group on your own with like minded people.

Good luck.

this is my thought. and meet potential fellow worshipers at a public place to make sure they are not malevolent. if you post a notice somewhere, you must be mindful that there are very bad people who have nothing better to do than harm.

I wish that was an option too, but sadly Jesus and Christians are considered evil and hateful. I have only one other person I know who believes in Christ

We are in a war. The new religion is Wuhan virus. The Vatican is the CDC, the pope is Faucci and the disciples are the technocrat governors and mayors. The vast majority of deplorables are the congregation.

You must believe in Wuhan or you're a heretic. Welcome brother.

If you've collected proof that the member churches of your denomination are working contrary to Christian doctrine then you've sufficient evidence to cease tithing and I wish you the best of luck in finding a pastor of a church who's not converged in your area. The problem is that for the most part, there is nowhere to run where this evil cannot or will not follow and Jesus never promised us we would have a safe and comfortable life free from harassment. In fact, he promised us the opposite.

Use this time to prepare yourself for what may lie ahead. If you don't know how to defend yourself unarmed, I suggest that you find a boxing gym. While I'm sure you could learn MMA or some other martial art, boxing will enable you to defend yourself unarmed in a span of weeks, where most other martial arts will require, at the least, months to years. Do you have friends, relatives, neighbors, classmates, and coworkers who spout new age religion and claim it's Christianity like your current ministers do? It maybe time to quietly cut yourself off from their social circles. If you have any debts, do your most diligent to pay them off. If it's an option, pursue an education that grants you greater understanding of Christianity.

I imagine there are a variety of other options available to you, but those are probably a good start.

Move.

[–] 3 pts

I've moved several times to different parts of the country. This phenomenon he speaks of is everywhere.

[–] 4 pts

It's everywhere. I was searching for a church that didn't sign the Catholic led "unification" of religions under Pagan gods and Gnostic philosophy. Found one. Looked up the German representation. The first banner I saw on their website was about taking more "refugees" in.

If I wasn't concerned about doxxing myself, there's a ton of pictures I could post that would make any normal Christian cringe. To Lutheran churches flying gay pride flags, to a Catholic church with Biden signs all over the front lawn, to the said Baptist church I mentioned earlier posting on their banner sign about "Trans inclusive youth group". There's even a movement up here recently in several Churches of the racist Jesus Christ and how he repented of his "sins". It's sickening

[–] 3 pts

Its not everywhere but I'm not giving up locations just keep looking, it took me 10 years of looking pre covid world to find a good church

Not an option, right now

[–] 2 pts

Keep in mind, every cent you spend locally supports that liberal system you claim to hate. You are literally feeding the monster who wants to kill you.

[–] 2 pts

You should move.

The Good Lord is going to scorch that place just like Minneapolis St. Paul.

Or as we call it now, New Sodom.

[–] 1 pt

I wish it was an option. Maybe in a few years, but can't now.

Then buy a gun.

You are going to need it.

Don't attend those churches, no need to accept what you believe is misguided christian faith, keep looking around, a small outpost of rebels might still be a thing, keep watching online sermons/look for like minded christian groups online

How about starting your own (virtual) church? (Virtual as in discussion board dedicated to your "blend" of right christian doctrine)

Why not? One of the upside of protestant christianity in your case, is that it's not a "monolithic branch" of christianity, it's open to dissenting opinions, by nature

>Be the church

Would jesus convert to "cathlocism", "protestantism", "orthodxism"? Would he join any of those churches described above? You know the answer.

If you were in a foreign land where the local culture was against Biblical values, you wouldn't say, "I need something local, so I guess I'll join one of their temples."

The modern religion of Progressivism is foreign and anti-Christian, even when preached in a church by ordained ministers. If you can find like-minded people, start your own study/prayer group. If you cannot, then start making plans for how to get out of Sodom, and find a better home.

I'm shocked by some of these responses...I'm very deeply religious with a strong and unwavering (usually) faith in God...but church is one thing I have a very hard time with.

I wasn't prepared to see so many people respond with a similar distrust of the church here. This was literally a random thread I clicked on because I wanted to challenge my own doubts and read why I need to believe, but I have instead corroborated my own opinion.

I just want to thank those of you who have commented, especially those who say to keep the faith.
