The argument is specious. God hasn’t had a nation in thousands of years because He dumped Israel after they pulled off a blasphemy hat trick. Since that time, He doesn’t have a “national program,” but rather an individual one.

There have been large pockets of nations over the past several centuries who were followers of God via their acknowledgment of the identity and divinity of Christ, and there were advantages for those nations. However, one cannot issue a decree establishing a nationwide acceptance of Christ’s personage, thus the “rejection of God” must also be individual, albeit with cumulative properties.
