You're the signal, body is the radio.
I would say your are both, the "you" is all there is, when you die, that's it, you are gone, you "sleep" waiting to be awoken.
My aunt is catholic and says deer n such dont have a soul.
That's because most Catholics do not read the Scriptures. It only takes a little cross interlinear research to see that the animals are formed and breathe the same life giving spirit as man.
The key word to look at when reading about the creation of man and the animals is the Hebrew word 'nephesh' which is translated as both 'life' and 'soul'.
