15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. - 1 John 4:15-16 (KJV)

Religion tries to make getting saved much too complicated. You do not have to confess all your sins, renounce your lifestyle, beg, plead, etc., to get saved. You have to believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth, that Jesus is the Son of God, and was raised from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). If you have confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then God dwells in you, and you dwell in Him. What an awesome fact, that we, who are born again, are now one with Jesus and the Father. Us humans have a hard time understanding that, but I know it is true, as the Bible says so – Praise God!

God’s (AGAPE) kind of love that He has for us, is hard for us to comprehend, as we tend to love only those that love us, and the totally unconditional love that God has for us is not like that. It is very important for a believer to understand how much God loves us, as we can not fully understand His relating to us until we understand that love. He loved each one of us enough to come to earth and die for us (John 3:16), just to bring us back into relationship with Him. Now that is love. He not only did this for those who He knew would believe in Him, but He died for all us humans (1 John 2:2), even those that hate Him. Wow! This verse is showing us that God is love just like in 1 John 4:8. If a person says he loves God, but then doesn’t show that love to others, then he is not telling the truth, as if you truly have God’s love in you, it will make you love others. This is how you can tell if a person is truly born again, as they will show the fruit of unconditional love to others, and they will assure their eternal salvation by obeying Jesus (Hebrews 5:9). Thank you Lord for loving us so very much!
