7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. - 2 Cor 9:7 (KJV)

The money, time and goods you give to the Kingdom of God, should be dictated by what your heart tells you to give. If you are giving little, you should know that you will receive little from the Lord (2 Corinthians 9:6). The Kingdom of God works the same as our physical world, in that what you plant (seeds) determines what you reap (harvest). If you don’t plant many seeds, you won’t reap a very large crop. Also you should not ever give out of obligation or fear, but only as your love for the Lord leads you to and what you feel in your heart that you wish to give cheerfully. If you give out of anything but God’s kind of love (Charity), then it is not pleasing to God, and will not allow God to multiply it back to you (1 Corinthians 13:3).

God does not look upon the amount of the gift but on how much you give out of what you have or the percentage of your possessions. The poor person who gives 20% of what they have has given much more than the wealthy person who only gives 10% of what they have to give, even though the amount is less (Mark 12:42-44). This is another indication that God looks on our hearts, and not on our actions. We should never be led to give money or possessions by those that beg for them, or use fear of God to encourage giving, as that is not pleasing to God. You should be sure and give to where you are fed the true Word of God, and not just because you attend a church all your life. You, of course, should be fed the correct Word in the church you attend, or you should find one that teaches correctly, and give your tithes there. God loves a cheerful giver, and if you give out of faith in God, then you are pleasing to Him (Hebrews 11:6). You must believe in the promises of God, to prosper you when you give, for it to come to pass. Support the Kingdom of God, and reap the many blessing that He has in store for you. Praise God for His Grace!
