17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. - Col 3:17 (KJV)

Giving praise and thanks to God is something the bible tells us to do at all times. If you truly have been born again, you will want to give thanks to the Lord always. If you are abounding in faith, you will be thankful (Colossians 2:7), as your thankfulness increases your faith. Not being thankful (un-thankful) is one of the signs of the end times (2 Timothy 3:2). You can tell how much you are living in the spirit, by how much you thank and praise the Lord. If you only praise and thank the Lord during church services, and never do so when you are alone, then you need to renew your mind with the Word of God (Romans 12:2), as you are spiritually dead.

If we truly are born again, and have God’s love living in us, then we will want to continually praise and thank God for His goodness, mercy, grace and love. This verse is telling us to do as Christ would do, in every word and deed we say and do. This is impossible for us humans to do, and the only way we can be like this, is to die to ourselves, and let Christ live through us. When Jesus and the Holy Spirit comes to live in us, we are filled with the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and then when we walk after the spirit, instead of the flesh, we will exhibit the traits of Christ, in everything we say or do. Be sure and obey Jesus to insure your eternal salvation (Hebrews 5:9). Praise God for our salvation, and for all His wonderful promises and gifts to us, His children!

Let's have a private discussion one day. I'm not some cunt desperate for attention but I always feel you cut our conversations short. As though you don't take my contrary nature in earnest.

I don't mean to cut you short, but God has called me to teach His Word, and not to argue or debate it, just teach it. If you wish to know if my teaching is correct, and are truly born again, all you have to do is to ask the Holy Ghost, and He will tell you, as He wrote the book. Love, Pastor Joe.

I just mean hop in mumble and we'll talk like folk one night. I can be a contrarian cunt but my goal is not to be contrary. My issues w/ religion generally revolve around the things I've done in the past for god and country. Regret like nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
