Clearly a book that's been re translated edited and censored 1000s of times is 100% legit
That's just demoralization narrative. The King James Bible is God's word in the King's English. It is flawless and perfect.
It is a miracle that it exists. But of course, God promised to preserve His word.
You sound as sane and logical as Catholics
A religion that declares it's head official can never be wrong under any circumstances is def not completely full of shit
Can you cite a chapter and verse that is imperfect?
I'd say the King James 1611 is perfect in the sense that it is a beautiful translation, highly accurate, and has been embraced for four centuries around the world. It's the Bible in English. All other translations are inferior to it. They may have a few verses that are more accurate to the Greek, but that doesn't mean they are more meaningful, or more beautiful, or more powerful. Most of the new translations I've read are lame, lame, lame. They sound terrible. The King James is Shakespearian English, and sounds beautiful to the ear. The words of the King James have power when spoken on the air. Speaking aloud a word is what makes it live. Scripture lives when vibrated on the air by the human voice, and nothing is more potent than the King James translation.
