30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. - John 5:30 (KJV)
Some have tried to say that scriptures such as this one are saying that Jesus was not God, as God can do all things. This is just saying that Jesus and God were one, and that the Son of Man (human part of Jesus) could do nothing, but the Son of God (divine part) could do all things justly. The fact that the Son, Holy Ghost and God are all one, yet appear in separate identities, is what we call the Trinity. Our human minds can not understand this, as it is spiritual, and we must accept what the bible says about it. It takes faith to understand the truths of the scriptures, and without faith, it is impossible to believe God (Hebrews 11:6). Without this faith, and belief in Spiritual things, you can not be saved, as you must believe by faith that God is real, and He is a Spirit (John 4:24).
Jesus judged all things correctly, as He did only what the Father said, and did nothing on His own. Lord, help all of us Christians to act that way as God has a perfect plan for each one of us. Our problem is that we tend to do our own things, and not follow the leading of the Spirit. Jesus loved us so much that He came and died for us (John 3:16), as His Father wanted Him to. Now that is love! Jesus said that no greater love has a person than to die for His friends (John 15:13) and it is all about love. If we have God living in us, then we are full of God’s kind of (AGAPE) love, as God is love (1 John 4:8). What we have to do is to let Jesus live through us, so that the love within us will show. Jesus told us that loving God first of all, then loving our neighbor as ourselves fulfills the entire law given through Moses (Matthew 22:37-40). It is all about love, and if you are not showing unconditional love to others, it means you are either not born again, or you are walking after the flesh instead of the Spirit. Live for Jesus and let your light shine!
