No. I haven't done the necessary homework to actually substantiate, but the jews were already at the point of killing Jesus 2,000 years ago--not really a "God's chosen people" kind of move. I doubt they're even close to the same people.

The Jews are Jews, They lie and take advantage of every opportunity. All ancient religious texts either expressed a natural philosophy or were written to control the masses by setting rules, an early government. Some were a bit of both.
