Another good one.
Sorry, Boobs, but Christians just copied the "Jews".
In the beginnings of this great country, many men were Deist, but they weren't exactly your typical "Christians". Most of them detested organized religion. Most of them were both familiar with and very interested in "pagan" traditions and activities. Take Astrology for example: plenty of those guys thought God had put the stars in special places, that their positions had genuine meaning and that these positions of the stars and their movements governed necessarily huge portions of their lives.
Most of these men were what we'd popularly call Protestants today. However, they were even less organized than what you would consider Protestants.
For instance, Ben Franklin, in his infinite wisdom, was more promiscuous than practically any name you could consider today.
Most of us would shriek about how virtuous he wasn't these days, throwing around words like "degenerate".
We don't need to go too far, though. I don't want to burst your bubble.
I prefer most of you to consider yourselves Christian, so I won't poke the bear too much. Just don't try to dangle arguments for the Pope over my head because then you'll really see me start to rant about Catholics (Rome).
Well that's okay. I believe what I believe and no one has to agree with me I'm just fine with that. Have an upvote.
Which is why I think you deserve our continued respect.
Well I'll thank you for that.
