Instead of asking why gen z is lazy, ask what reason they have to work for in the first place. To start a family? Most have been brainwashed against having kids. To afford material possessions? Governments take from the working and give to the useless. For the betterment of their race? Schools tell them there are no races, just an endless rootless horde to be moved around as tax cattle for the ruling class.
I'm surprised they work as much as they do.
Apparently no one gives a fuck about personal achievement or responsibility anymore.
Guess that is what you get for giving everyone a participation reward for the last 20+ years.
I use to think that. Kids are more aware these days. They see the favoritism. They see people working hard and then losing everything and it destroying families. It is more common. They witnessed their family work themselves to the bone. Mom divorced dad because he yelled at her. They've been shown if you take responsibility then you take all the blame. Most of them start at the bottom and it's hard for the bottom to rise today.
They see personal achievement differently. They've been alone so much. Having a friend or loving themselves(non sexual) is an achievement to them.
I get it now. I worked my ass to bone. They are not interested in being Sisyphus for someone else's bad decision.
