I've seen quite a few demolitions of large buildings... That being said, the second half of the video except the last building is CGI. The last building was the only "real" building that was meant to hold people. The first two buildings were real buildings, but they were not meant to hold people. They were built much cheaper and a shit ton lighter than normal buildings. This is evident from the collapse. Go watch any actual demo of a large building and you'll see what I mean. I don't understand the point of these temporary buildings that are erected with absolutely zero intent on having people in them.
They have multiple "ghost cities" in the Gobi Desert.
That's why it held together after falling, it's just an empty box? That makes a lot of sense, they were built as whatever you call the CCP equivalent of a tax dodge is.
