short answer is yes, almost everywhere in china they eat dogs not just for a few 'festivals'.

I remember years ago I was in some bullshit freshman seminar where we were supposed to state a stereotype people might have about us and how it isn't true. There were a bunch of asian kids in the class (mostly straight off the boat) and one kid goes "I'm asian, I don't eat dogs". All of a sudden a bunch of the other asian kids go "Oh, I love dog!" and they all get into side conversations of how they like eating dog while the kid who just spoke put his head in his hands and looked super depressed. It was possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen.

That's not a myth. It's been documented extensively. It's not only the festival. There are regions in china with many dogmeat restaurants. It's really not hard to find videos on the subject.

What I find fascinating is that of all the horrible things Chinese do it's the dog eating that they will deny the most. Lol. They don't react when accused of performing organ transplant with prisoners and political oppositions to religious minorities. But the minute you expose their dog eating habit they will send their army of internet foot soldiers to defame you.

Those fuckers know we love our dogs. That's maybe worse than the camps lol

It's not just dogs, they torture any animal they eat beforehand. the adernaline is supposed to add taste. there are tons of videos of chinese animal torture. the video goes into detail about dogs specifically, how its eaten in virtually every part of china.
