This problem with getting goods from China could have been predicted, and probably was predicted, way back when Nixon went to China. This is what happens when you put all our eggs in an unstable dictatorship of a basket.

Dicks trip to china was to pave the way for this shit-the-bed moment in time. That assholes only redeeming qualities were getting us out of 'nam, and resigning the presidency after Watergate.
