Agreed, I can understand other cultures having their own standarts on regards of what counts as food, but what really bothers me is the inhumane way they kill them, according to them, the lesser the time there is from killing the animal to cooking it, the better, thus you might understand why they cook them alive.
How much better can it taste? Or nutritional value? Has someone even done a blind A/B test?
I've heard some different opinions on adrenaline from torture or none from quick kill.
It taste worse actually, since the adrenaline rush from the torture stiffens the muscles or something along those lines, it has something to do about lactic acid building up in the muscles, but I am not a doctor so I don't know much about this stuff. All I know is that it is better for the animal (and you) to kill it as fast and painlessly as possible.
