Generally speaking, we're seeing the rise of K and theirs nothing the r-selected can do to prevent it.

The Chinese are conducting pre-emptive attacks on any regional threats like former Indochina, India, and Philippines, before they can effectively organize against China, accelerating their re-absorbing of formerly lost territories; like Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, consolidating nearby Han enclaves beyond their immediate military umbrella, and cutting off escape options for their r-selected wealthy. The continued development of the belt and road initiative is more obviously indicating to even countries with moderate leaders that its function is to ensure rapid military mobility, which will inevitably push Germany into Russia's warm embrace when the Europeans sort out their degenerate traitors.

However, I've been increasingly curious if Moon Jae-in of South Korea made a deal with China for South Korea's democratic party to replace the Jong-un regime at some point after reunification. Kim Jong-Un's people have made some incredibly shred moves since Jiang Zemin's loyalists have been functionally maligned, if not executed. I'm in awe of how they managed to have operatives in place ready to kill his brother in public after the Chinese recruited him.

Whatever agreements were made, Trump being elected to office clearly threw them all in the air and Xi wasn't about to wait on the deal makers for things to come up in Chinas' favor.
