TLDR - it wasn't always this way...
Some context from someone who used to live there.. (me)
Tinley Park, IL, used to be a very nice, half un-incorporated (cornfields and cows) suburb with slightly more affluent towns bordering it... ghetto city niggers could never afford to live there. Middle to upper-middle class or better was how it used to be.
You moved to one of these towns because you worked your ass off and you wanted to buy a brand new, just-built home; far enough away, logistically and financially, from the niggers in the city, but still get you downtown via the expressway or commuter train in about an hour or less. (at least that was the idea in the mid 80's - early 90's)
Fast foward to around 97 or 98, Chicago Mayor R. M. Daley shuts down the Cabrini-Green projects and sends all the ghetto fucking niggers south, literally besieging these white suburbs; forcing section 8 bullshit on the diminishing tax-bases of Polish, German, Irish and Italian legal immigrant suburbs, who by then were either retiring and moving away or just simply dying of old age.
Now here we are, nearly 30yrs later and everyone who thought they'd be "safe" outside of Cook County won't be sticking around much longer either. I left in 2017 and I'm pretty sure the stats are like avg 30k ppl have left every year since.
