Serious question: How do Catholics square their opinion of the Pope as being able to create doctrine at will with the current Pope being a globalist Commie?

Other Christian denominations dont have this conundrum because they see their head honcho as just a human servant of the church, and if the servant is a bad one...they fire him like they'd fire a drunken plumber. It seems like exposure to a history textbook of the papacy would kibosh the whole pope-is-more-than-just-a-regular-guy doctrine inside of ten minutes

what you describe is the reason why fewer people go to mass, they see it in a kind of fuzzy way that there is something wrong

the sad part is this: there is nothing wrong with what Jesus said, including "if you follow me you will have eternal life"
