The Catholic Church serves the devil and always has.
I was raised Catholic and Lutheran and was truly an atheist until I encountered Orthodoxy. Eastern Orthodoxy is beautiful and knows all too well the Jewish revolutionary spirit. I am currently in a Russian Orthodox church and love it. Highly recommend everyone lost to wander their way to an Orthodox church.

i don't know if I can handle their Lenten Practices. Not eating for 40 days would be very difficult. (They don't eat meat for 40 days, I am pretty much on an only meat diet)

I am 5 years carnivore and eat fish/seafood for the 40 days. I also eat less than I normally would and do not train or do anything beyond walking during this time.

Fish is the one thing I am am terrible at cooking. I have tried fish soups, oysters, sashimi, pan fried in butter. All embarassing failures.
