I'll never own an 'electric only' vehicle. To me, they're not compatible with long-distance driving. (My brothers' are 6 and 12 hours away, and my wife's family home is 6 hours.) Aside from that, I was shocked when looking at some upscale cars to replace my current car. V8's are no longer common in MANY cars. It's all turbo V6 engines. Better on gas but you longer get the vrooom of the engine.
Turbos burn up after long oil changes. The mfg’s recommend 10k changes on synthetic now. And that’s seat of a turbo. Ask me how I know. Now change every 5k full synthetic.
I never understood the 3k suggestion for oil changes. I've always done 5K. Mostly because it's very easy to remember when you're due. If the mileage "ends" in 0 or 5, you're due.
3k was a joke even in conventional oil But with turbos short change that shit.
